Review of Wallingford Community Hospital St Leonards Ward
16th May 2024

General care and attention to needs not patronising.

Suggested improvements
I find the food menu rather confusing and choices limited. EG. I would rather have a sandwich at lunch and hot meal in the evening.

I am particular impressed by the quality of the physiotherapy department. The nurses have made an effort to give me personal attention.

Suggested improvements
Would have been nice to have had the opportunity to go and see outside or around the hospital.

The therapy sessions are wonderful. I like the bike. My experience of your service is very good overall. Staff are kind. I don't think you could improve your service.

The physio sessions are very good, even with a left . Staff have apologised for the lack of physio over the weekends due to lack of funding. I am wondering why my husband is back on one medication, and also wondering why he is being given a new medication. Because of my husband's disability, more feedback to me would be kind.

Therapy sessions are excellent. I have gone from being nervous (re. fall leg and arm) to confident to walking with a crutch. Physios are excellent. Service is very good overall. Physio sessions are good. Cleanliness is good. Food is great. There is maybe a shortage of a shower.

The service is good overall. The staff and the meals are very good. I think things could be improved by allowing patients to go to bed later and with less noise from the alarms.
